The board of directors of Al Ain Club under the chairmanship of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the time decided to carry out additional expansions and constructions including the expansion of Khalifa Stadium and the setting up of an Olympic swimming-pool and outdoor playgrounds at a total cost of Dhs47 million, thereby completing Al Ain Club’s facilities. Under a boost by HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, the new administrative building of Al Ain Club was set up at a cost of Dhs7 million. The new building was inaugurated in April 1983. On May 14, 1983 HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, who is also the honorary president of Al Ain Club paid an inspection visit to the club. He was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, vice-chairman of board of the club. During his tour, HH Sheikh Khalifa was familiarized with the club’s facilities and the developments that were made under his full support.
